No Excuses Chili Weight Loss Recipe

“No Excuses Chili” is my Go-To weight loss recipe when it is cold outside, or I know I’m in for a busy day.

You need recipes like this in your tool box so you know what to do to eat to get fit.

Browning the meat and sautéing the onion is the only active cooking time it really requires. Otherwise, you set it and forget it.

It’s impossible to cook too long. If you actually did forget it, it’s going to taste even better.

As a bonus, this tastes amazing as left overs. Left overs are a big way for me to plan ahead my lunch for tomorrow without busting my belt. Or my wallet.

So, good left overs make a huge impact in my life. No Excuses Chili fits the criteria.

It’s such a forgiving recipe.

As I was making this for this post, I had to substitute baked beans for chili beans.

Baked beans do have sugar added. So, if you’re going ground zero on sugar on your weight loss recipes, make sure you have chili beans on hand.

My kids love it, and my husband loves it.

So, I don’t have to cook a different meal just because I’m eating healthy. I love being able to sneak healthy options into my families normal routine.

Check out this article from WebMD on safe weight loss for overweight kids. Having weight loss surgery, healthy kids is definitely at the front of my mind.

If you’re worried about having overweight kids or an overweight spouse, make this one a few times. You’ll be eating to lose weight all day long!

Hopefully, in 6 small portioned meals, 3 hours apart.

For most of my life I was overweight. In my 30s, I became morbidly obese, tipping the scales over 330 pounds. After trying and failing at every diet, I decided to get gastric bypass RNY weight loss surgery. Since 2016 I have been living a much healthier life, I hit my weight loss goals, but more importantly, understand weight loss now. I am determined to share what I now know.
