Hi everyone, it’s Alicia…Thank you for joining me here for a few thoughts.
Starting out right!
2020 was rough. It took a massive toll on my mental health, and as I emerge from that year and step into the next I have some lessons to take to heart.
One of the biggest lessons I learned about myself in 2020 was that I am always working hard to feel heard. I have a big voice, and much to say.
But I’ve often felt squashed, or diminished.
In 2020 two themes kept repeating: how I frequently seem too passive, and how I need boundaries.
Those will be the two biggest things I work toward in 2021, and some areas in which I hope to share my growth with you.
I think focusing on those areas, through this blog and my YouTube channel, I can start to find my voice again.
So, here I am, sharing what this Authentic Life is for me, and how I make every moment as real as possible so I can get the most out of my journey.
It’s important for me to get this out into the world, if only to share the things I wish I’d known earlier. And even though experience is an excellent teacher, the wisest people learn from the mistakes of others.
I know there are some wise people waiting to learn, and I hope this blog finds them.
I challenge you to try to be wise often, and to learn from everyone else as much as possible so you can reach your goals and live authentically.
Thanks for joining me. I’m excited to see where 2021 takes us both!
